Tunnel Revenge 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay October 2011
Hi, here’s my latest project titled Tunnel Revenge. It took me a while to finish this working on and off since I go to school full time with 5 months left to graduate but over all combined it took about a month of on and off work to finish it. The original intention for the project was to recreate the feeling of walking though a cold, dry, and frozen tunnel and practice pushing my lighting skills focusing on color and depth. Total Render time was around 6 hours outputting a 1920x1080 image on an i7 940 2.93 GHz machine with 12GB of ram. The render took awhile because I had the GI scatter option turned on for the VRay environment fog. If I could do it over I would use FumeFX to create the fog/steam but this is was all a learning experience for me. I'm pretty happy with how this all played out since I had a lot of fun learning how to use VRay and in general just playing with lighting.
